When handling an estate, you want it done right by a reputable and trusted team.
We simplify estate administration with a flat fee of $2,300 + GST to obtain a Grant of Probate or Grant of Administration. There is no percentage fees and no hidden fees.
Our flat fee includes routine calls, emails, updates, court follow ups, and practical executor guidance throughout the file and after the Grant. Because our team includes experienced lawyers & CPAs, we can also provide CPA support for estate tax matters, including assistance with a CRA Tax Clearance Certificate after the Grant.
Please note: Disbursements are billed separately. For a typical estate the only disbursement is the court filing fee.

Guidance during and after the Grant. After the Grant we continue to provide reasonable post-grant guidance at no additional legal fee.
Common Extras (Quoted Before We Proceed): Missing/Problematic Will issues, Disputes/contested matters, urgent court applications, Significant cross-border/foreign document work, Complex asset issues (corporations, multiple properties, etc.)

A Grant of Probate confirms a will’s validity and gives the executor legal authority to manage and distribute an estate. A Grant of Administration applies when there is no will, giving someone the authority to manage and distribute the estate.
Both are essential for transferring estate assets to beneficiaries and are required by institutions such as banks, land titles offices, and other asset holders to confirm the legal authority to act.

We draft all required Alberta Court forms, review them with you in plain language, then file the application and handle required service on beneficiaries. We also answer any questions from the Alberta Courts.

Once the Court issues the Grant, we provide copies and clear, step-by-step guidance on how to use it with banks, investment institutions, and Alberta Land Titles. We can also assist with creditor advertisement and land transfers.
Because our estate team includes experienced CPAs, we can also support with estate tax questions and CRA filings.
